Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs

Ahh who remembers growing up chowing down on spaghetti and meatballs?! I know it’s far from traditional, but I remember eating it with cheesy, buttery, garlicky Texas Toast, and boy was it good. When I visit home my grandma still serves it when she makes spaghetti and I would be lying if I said I don’t love it, because I do.

Anyways, let’s get to the recipe! I love meatballs, but I used to be intimidated to make them. Sooo… I would make frozen ones. Which were totally fine. Until I made them homemade, and now there’s no going back! I tweaked my grandma’s meatloaf recipe to make meatballs instead, and they are so incredible. Super juicy, delicious flavor, and despite you might think - very easy to make. You can find the video for this recipe here.

Beef, pork, and veal mix - I think this combination makes the best meatballs. It has a really good flavor, and once cooked together it’s so good.

Egg and bread crumbs - Adding both of these will keep the meatballs from drying out.

Onion flakes, dried basil, dried oregano - You can’t have meatballs without a mix of Italian seasonings. The addition of the onion flakes is delicious.

Fresh parsley - I wanted the flavor of fresh parsley in the meatballs so I chopped some very fine to add in.

Parmesan cheese - You just can’t have meatballs without adding in cheese!

Jar of tomato sauce - I recommend using a high quality tomato sauce for optimal flavor, or you can make your own!
