Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Wings

IMG_1152.JPG

It's Super Bowl Sunday, and some of my favorite dishes involve buffalo and chicken! Although there's a 99% chance I won't be watching the game, there's a 100% chance that I'll be eating the snacks. These slow cooker buffalo chicken wings are the perfect dish because they take minimal time to prep and once you throw them in the crockpot you can carry on with your day! Let me know what you think!

Ingredients:

1.5 lb fresh chicken wings

1/2 cup siete traditional hot sauce

3 garlic cloves minced

1 tbsp. ghee

1/4 white onion chopped

1 tsp. arrowroot powder

Instructions:

In a large bowl combine the hot sauce, garlic, ghee, and onion. Place the wings in bowl and mix until they are well coated. Pour the wings and sauce in a crockpot. Place on low for 2 hours.

After 2 hours mix the wings and then turn the heat to high for 45 minutes. Remove the wings from the sauce and place the sauce in a blender with the arrowroot powder. Blend for a few seconds until the onion is pureed into the sauce. Place the wings and the sauce back in the crockpot on low for about 10 more minutes. Place on a platter and brush the wings with the extra sauce. Serve with ranch and celery - enjoy!
