Cacao Turmeric Latte

Cozy mornings at home have been happening around here more than ever! It’s been quite rainy in San Diego, and with the stay at home orders we are doing the best we can to cozy up and keep positive.

Turmeric is a great ingredient to incorporate into your diet right now because it offers anti-inflammatory properties! The active ingredient, curcumin, reduces oxidative stress in the body - which in turn can help your mood as well. Something we could all use right now!

Ingredients:

1 cup milk of choice (I used flax milk for this recipe)

1/2 cup water

1 tbsp. Moon Juice Cosmic Gold

1 tsp. cacao

-If you don’t have a turmeric blend, you can substitute for 1 tsp. turmeric powder, dash of black pepper, drop of honey, and about 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract).

Instructions:

Heat the liquids in a small sauce pan over the stove. Once it’s warm (do not let it come to a boil), add the rest of the ingredients and froth with a handheld milk frother or transfer to a blender. Pour in your mug and enjoy!
