These Frankenstein Rice Krispies are just the spookiest little treats! I love going all out for Halloween. I know it’s not for everyone, but growing up it was always so fun in my household so it’s very nostalgic for me. I remember so many fun costumes and parties growing up. The decorations and treats are just so fun to me! I knew I had to make these this year for my family, and they were a huge hit!

Frankenstein Rice Krispies

These Frankenstein Rice Krispies are the spookiest little Halloween treat! They are so fun, but more importantly, super delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • Green food coloring
  • 4 cups puffed rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • White decorating icing
  • Sugar eyeballs (got mine from Target)
  • 12 Hershey kisses or mini Reece’s cups

Instructions

  1. Melt butter over low medium heat in a pot. Add marshmallows and stir continuously until they are melted.
  2. Add a few drops of green food coloring. Stir in the puffed rice cereal.
  3. Shape the Frankenstein heads and place on parchment paper (I was able to make 6).
  4. Melt the chocolate chips in a pot. Dip the top of each Rice Krispie onto the chocolate (optional to chop more chocolate and sprinkle on top).
  5. Use the icing to stick the eyes on, draw a mouth, and stick the mini Reece’s cups on the side as bolts (I ran out and had to use kisses, I just cut them in half).
