Sage & Truffle Mashed Potatoes
Since I was little mashed potatoes have been one of my favorite foods. Of course, my grandmas have always been my favorite - who’s shocked?! Sorry, she’s just the best cook around. So anytime I eat something that’s one of her specialities of course I can’t help but compare it! Anyways, last year I made delicious cauliflower mashed potatoes, but this year I wanted to keep it more traditional - with a flare of course!
These mashed potatoes are infused with flavors of sage, garlic, and truffle! To be honest I just made them for a small Friendsgiving and didn’t really plan on sharing the recipe, but after I tasted them I knew I couldn’t keep these from y’all - they’re too good. Fresh sage honestly adds such a distinct sophisticated flavor to any dish, I absolutely look cooking with it - especially this time of year! Another ingredient I love??? Truffle. If I’m ever out to eat at a restaurant and there’s truffle anything on the menu you can almost guarantee that’s what I’m ordering. Sooo I was pretty excited when I saw on the gram that Trader Joe’s has a truffle seasoning. Just so happened the day I bought it was also the day I made these potatoes or else I don’t know if I would have thought to throw it in! So glad I did though because it was a GAME CHANGER. I’m excited for you guys to try these potatoes and I hope you and your families love them as much as we did.
Note: If you do not have access to the truffle seasoning feel free to omit. I think they are just as delicious with the flavor of the garlic and fresh sage. You could always add a bit more garlic for more flavor!
