GB + PB Cereal Bars

I realize that in this recipe I’m mixing a nut free butter and a butter that has, well - nuts. But it’s 2020 & sh*t’s weird so I’ll keep that trend going. ANYWAYS once you bite into these babies you won’t even care that it contains totally contradictory ingredients because all you’ll be able to focus on is how delicious they are. To be honest I made these on a whim the first time and I used a silicone ice cube tray to freeze them. Then I realized they were so good that I wanted to make them bigger!

The granola butter serves as a delicious crust, and the peanut butter is the perfect creamy filling. Topped with cereal for an added crunch and a fun look! You can use your cereal of choice, in this recipe I used Three Wishes honey flavor. These would be awesome for kids birthdays, or even just a random night at home. I have a feeling I’m going to keep them stocked in our freezer for when I’m in need of a treat!

GB+PB Cereal Bars

This delicious mixture of granola butter crust and peanut butter filling is extraordinary on it's own, but add in the cereal on top for a crunch and it takes it to the next level. These bars are perfect for any occasion (or no occasion at all).

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granola butter
  • 1 tbsp. cacao powder
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup syrup
  • Cereal of choice (I used Three Wishes honey flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix together the granola butter and cacao powder. Pour it into a parchment lined 8x8 pan, spread out evenly, and place in the freezer for 30 minutes
  2. Place the peanut butter and syrup in a sauce pan over low heat. Mix together until well blended
  3. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the granola butter mixture and spread out evenly
  4. Top with cereal, and place back in the freezer for at least an hour
  5. Cut into squares and enjoy. Place leftovers back in the freezer until they are ready to be eaten
